I am getting tired of my life.. what can I do to enhance it? My day will start at 5.30am or latest 5.40am. Getting thru the normal routine, get ready to feed the strays adopted and kept in the shop. After feeding, rushing thru the horrible traffic jam, I'm off to work. After work, back to the shop again. Same goes to my weekend...
All work no play is making me sick of this life. I wanted to change..... CHANGE my LIFE!

Cantonese Opera In Malaysia
Malaysia used to have good performing artist in Cantonese Opera. Cantonese Opera in Malaysia are mainly consist a group of old people who are also performing artist and musicians. These group of people are easily 60s and above and the most elderly is coming to 90s. Nowadays.... its so difficult to find a proper troupe that is complete with 6 main performers. Artist without much 'qualification' in Cantonese Opera are upgrading themselves into the 2nd and 3rd leading artist. Musicians and percussionist faced the same problem.
The question is WHY? WHY is this happening in Malaysia? To make things worst, these 'upgraded' performers are back stepping each other. WHY human must act this way? There are lots of questions with no answers.
Market for Cantonese Opera is already bad and with the current economy will make it worst! WHY can't these performing artist group together and makes the market and quality of performance better but instead of doing these, they tend to 'fight' among themselves competing for the lowest price and the quality of performance is degrading so badly that there are hardly any audience!
Even some performing lead artist are coming from Hong Kong are not giving their top performance. You may ask WHY??? Are't they are from the most prestigious country performing Cantonese Opera? Yes, they are good performers but again with this type of supporting artist..... they don't even have the mood to perform better. It is so sad to think about the future of Cantonese Opera in Malaysia. Unlike Singapore, there is no support from the Government too.
With this situation, no wonder Cantonese Opera in Malaysia is coming to an end!

I am trying very hard to understand Malaysian Government Barisan National's way of administration nor I am a supporter of other leadership. Maybe just maybe if any body from the Prime Minister department or any one that can help reads this post - just ask this question for me... does a labourer from the neigbouring country have the ability to have RM150,000.00 to apply for 2nd Malaysian Home plan? Why is he being given the opportunity to have the local authorised NRIC while other people trying to comply to the necessary method of application of work permit faces so many problems - approval from 1 party will bound to have another party rejection example Immigration department.. are they planing to ask these fully law abiding people to go underground and to apply for forge NRIC? New MyKad having expiry date or a picture of an old lady have a much younger date of birth? Its either the NRIC department over look or some other fishy way to make them available! Please we want a better way of administration. We don't want to look 'funny' in this coming election. We don't want to go through the immigration department with fear of being rejected/ or cannot come back... just we are not Malaysian People! We are law abiding people (even though we are not Anak Malaysia but we are born in Malaysia). It is not our choice that during that time S'pore decided to leave Malaysia and so happen we are in S'pore as babies. It is not our choice to choose the citizenship as babies. We prefer to be in Malaysia but being rejected by Malaysia or have to pay a large sum of money just to be in 2nd Malaysian Home Plan. Can we afford it - just one plain word..... NO we cannot afford that! Just because our parents brings us to S'pore we cannot be PR in Malaysia as we do not have $$$$

New Style in Cantonese Opera?
Recently saw 2 different Hong Kong 'mun moh sung' in Singapore. I found both of the artist have something in common - they do not 'hit' the beat of the drum anymore. What I meant is that they do not have the 'power' to accompany the last beat of the percussionist. Is this a new trend of Cantonese Opera performance? It looks so funny like they do not have 'strength'. The female artist I can accept the fact that she is not as strong as her counterpart but the male artist also gives me the same interpretation. Is it heading to the new type of trend?

Why Us But Not Them???
Why?? :( I must ask this question WHY is people dying from this local CO circle?? Yes, these performers are of the older CO performers but WHY WHY do they have to die in this painful way bearing in mind one is consider 'young' at the age of 40+ and people from the another group still having a gay time in Malaysia CO circle? Last year itself, M'sian CO circle have lost a total of at least 5 CO good performers due to CANCER. Now one more is on the 'waiting list' Recently lost one oldie but that never mind she died peacefully in her sleep while on stage performing her best. GOD BLESS HER.
The other group is still having a 'high' time grasping all the shows they can offering such a cheap price until NO ONE - I repeat NO ONE can compete their prices. Their BOSS is one rich person who can actually say "I want you to be No. 1, you will be No. 1" Wow! such strong words coming out from the Boss, no wonder noone dare to say anything about their performers.
No wonder the CO circle in M'sia is getting one 'loop side' with this situation. Many CO performers in M'sia are oldies and do not have much income. Even the younger generation of CO performers opt for other source of income instead of performing CO as many many performers cannot get a decent meal out of the situation.
Where is Malaysia CO leading to? Please can someone tell me? :(

God of Prosperity
During the festive seasons, Malaysian shopping malls like to bring in the character that suits the season like Santa Clause (X'mas), God Of Prosperity (CNY), Fairies (autumn mooncake festival). So during this CNY, shoppers can see the God Of Prosperity walking around handing out sweets in Red Packets (Ang Pow). In the newer shopping malls, the management will give oranges which sounds 'kum' or 'gold' in cantonese. You can see people rushing for these oranges. There was one incident that we need to call for help! Shoppers were rushing for 'ang pow' and we need security guards to 'guard' the 'god of prosperity' from being 'rob' :)

Sung Fung Meng Cantonese Opera
Sung Fung Meng Cantonese Opera troupe started in 2007. We face lots of difficulty when we wanted to start this opera troupe. People do 'look down' on us as we were in-experience and face lots of problems. First and the most difficult one - costumes. We went to GZ and HK to buy these costumes. Luck was with us when we were in GZ and HK. Some friends recommended us to buy these costumes at a real cheap price but to bring back to M'sia is one HEAVY problem. I leave it to you readers to imagine bringing back 82kg of extra baggage with 2 people all the way fr GZ railway & HK airport back to KLIA. To those who have been to GZ's railway station may knows. :)
